The SR40c is based on the same high-performance glass-filled nylon frame as those used on the popular SR9®, SR9c and SR40 pistols, offering the same, great ergonomic features, including a slim frame, short trigger reach, reversible backstrap, and ambidextrous controls. The SR40c features a through-hardened, stainless steel or alloy steel slide with Nitridox Pro Black finish. Great Carry Pistol

Had this for 4 months now, I’ve put over 1000 rounds of various ammo both hollow point and FMJ. This pistol will shoot anything you put in it! I’ve shot PPU, Corbon, WWB, Remington, Speer, Blazer, Liberty, and some other cheap brands. I like to pick up the cheapest stuff I can find just to see if it will feed and shoot properly and it always does! I carry this gun with me every day in a Triple K IWB clip holster at about 1:00 I don’t even know its there! The only issue I’ve had was the guide rod warping after 1000 rounds and Ruger replaced it for free, but to eliminate the chance of it happening again I just picked up a stainless one! Like I said this gun has had no real issues! I’m very impressed and I would recommend this to anyone looking to CCW a 40S&W!

I like this pistol very much the trigger has changed alot from the original sr40 defiantly recommend i intend to use for conceal carry one bad thing is that there are not alot of accessories out for it yet

Very reliable and easy to shoot, and very accurate

I bought this gun for my wife as a Christmas present, with a laser. She like it then, loves it now. It is very easy to shoot,with relatively low recoil, and best of all, dead on accurate. I have a number of guns, but she will shoot this one to the exclusion of almost everything else. She’s less than a great shot without the laser, but dead-on accurate with it. This and the SR9c are both amazingly accurate for compact guns. It is a pleasure to shoot.
